Education is a lifelong relationship between parents, teachers, administration and the community working towards the goal of the betterment of our children.
The vision of Global Scholars Academy is to be a place of excellence where children can achieve their full potential in their academic, creative, personal, physical, and moral development; in which they will develop an appreciation for diversity, demonstrate respect towards others, and show concern for the academic success of their peers. We value the partnership that exists between school, parents, and community and the part it plays in realizing this vision.
At Global Scholars Academy, our goal is to offer students a consistently supportive environment, to fill each day with experiences that lead to educational success, and to help each child build an expansive network of family, educators, and advocates that will support them in their journey.
Global Scholars Academy has a wonderful requirement of parent involvement and will base its success on being able to create a very strong partnership between parents and school. Parents are asked to give back to Global Scholars Academy by attending monthly Parent Empowerment Meetings and volunteering at least 20+ hours throughout the school year. There will be many opportunities available throughout the year both throughout the regular school day as well as during the 21st Century After-school program. These opportunities include reading in the classroom, helping with special activities, performing administrative tasks, volunteering in the library, chaperoning field trips, community service projects and more.
We know children enjoy having their parents involved in their school community - All parents are invited and encouraged to participate in PTSA. Through the Parent Teacher Student Association, parents work together to organize fundraising events and execute plans to improve the overall GSA experience for our families. The Parent Teacher Student Association welcomes new volunteers throughout the school year. For more information, please contact the main office at 919-682-5903.
